Written when BranchCache could not parse a service connection point (SCP) object. It is mainly a BranchCache configuration-diagnostic event.

Overview

The subcategory is Audit Other System Events. It is generated when BranchCache could not parse a service connection point (an object in Active Directory that publishes the location of the hosted cache, etc.).

How it is triggered

  • When parsing fails due to malformed or corrupt format of a BranchCache-related SCP object in AD.

Security review points

  • It is mostly a diagnostic event from configuration/AD-object inconsistency, with low priority. In environments running BranchCache, use it to check SCP configuration.

Notes for log review
